Statement of Faith Pt. 2

Let's just jump right in and see how far we get today.

4. The Genesis account of creation is correct and that it is to be accepted literally. All life was created by God in its present form, and there has never been, nor will there ever be any form of evolution. All life was created in two forms, male and female, and the only legitimate marriage is between man and woman. All forms of homosexuality, bi-sexuality, and bestiality is in and of itself sin. Man was created in innocence but fell by voluntary transgression of God’s Word, and is therefore under condemnation, and deserving of eternal punishment.
Genesis 1:1 &11 &24 &26-27, 2:21-23, 3:1-6 &24, John 1:3, Acts 4:24, Romans 5:12
This is repeated through out the Bible, "In the beginning God created the heavens and earth". "All that was made was made by Him and for Him", we are here for His pleasure, and not the other way around. If it wasn't for the vicarious suffering of Christ on the cross, we would be condemned to an eternity in hell, because of our own wickedness.

5. Jesus Christ was miraculously born of a virgin. He is both Son of God, and Son of Man. Mary conceived when the Holy Spirit moved on her, and miraculously planted the Christ child in her. But, at no time was there sexual intercourse between the Holy Spirit and Mary, otherwise she would not have been a virgin, and also God can not sin, premarital sex is a sin.
Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-25, Mark 1:1, Luke 1:35, John 1:14 Galatians 4:4
We see in the Old Testament where the virgin birth was prophesied, and in the New Testament where it was fulfilled. But, at no time do we see where the Holy Spirit sinned by having premarital relations with her, which is something that He is incapable of, and would have made her of no use to Him anyway.

6. Salvation is by the Grace of God, and there is nothing man can do to obtain salvation on his own, by any work or effort. We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and His sinless life, His voluntary death on the Cross, and His victory over death as a result of His resurrection. There can be no salvation without the shed blood of Christ to cover our sin.
Isaiah 53:4-7, &11-12; Matt 18:11; John 3:16, 10:17-18; Acts 15:11; Romans 3:23-24; Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 7:25, 9:12-15, 12:2
There are people who think that if they live "good enough" they will be saved, other people think that there is some other way to be saved, but we are clearly told that "No man cometh to the Father but by Me", and "without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sin." This is one of the main points of the Christian faith, belief in Jesus Christ as our Savior. God makes His salvation available to all men, but without faith in Jesus we can not hope to obtain it.

I'll finish up tomorrow, I hope everyone has a good day at church.
